Title: Blackwood Beauties
Post by: Orion on September 03, 2007, 06:26:13 PM
It's amazing what you can do with a four day weekend.  Made these for "Mad Dog".  He chose the wood from several blanks I brought in to work last week..  First calls I have made from Blackwood,  very dense and hard but not to bad to work with.  Two open reed calls are howler and distress voices with the always outstanding THOGameCalls tone boards.  Close reed is made from the last piece I had after making a bad cut when staring the first call. It will be fitted w/ a JC sleeve and stainless steel reed of his choice.
