On the way out to set up for some goose hunting I run into a guy at the gas station wanting to know what we were hunting. I proceded to tell him and started shooting the bull about hunting. He then tells me he wish he'd know that we goose hunted because he just GAVE AWAY 60 floaters but still had a doz or two mallards left :eyebrow: Soooooo, I said I take a doz off your hands if you want to get rid of them :sneer:
My boy and I didnt get any geese but we didnt come home empty handed
( guys were already setting up on the field I wanted to hunt so we didnt intrude, a lesson on respect and sportmanship for the boy )
How do you plan to clean those Mallards? I have heard that if they aren't cleaned properly they are really hard to eat.
Good lesson for you son.
Jerry
