well, i finally retired my granddad's hand-me-down fleece cammies and purchased a set of the NEW REVOLUTION FLEECE from Cabelas. I spent just shy of $200 on the jacket and $130 on the bibs. Now, my preffered style of hunting is a mixture of tracking and still hunting. So I need clothing that does NOT make noise when rubbing against twigs and such.
I do believe that this is the first time that I have ever been gaffed by Cabelas. The material is so loud that it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I wouldn't even have confidence in drawing a bow on a deer, let alone stalking one.
DO any of you guys have an opinion on what would work best? I have taken wool into consideration as it is my #1 choice up North, but now we're talkin NC...
I'm trying to figure out what mind of material you picked up. It wouldn't be because it's so new would it?
BM...With the heat we've been having do like I did yesterday. Took Cam squirrel hunting and I wore camo shorts and a green t-shirt. (Ask him what we called in when he gets on here )
I've been pretty happy with my nat gear. Go light and layer under neath as required. It's not a water proof solution, but it's not noisey.
Bushy, I use Microtex from cabelas its tough and quiet I hunt alot of oakbrush out here and it shreads most camo but I still wear the same pants I bought four yrs ago and if ya don't have em hemmed they fit us 6'4 tall people good
Bushy, One good thing about buying from Cabela's, if you are not satisfied with the product you bought you can return if with full refund, no questions asked.cc
