Fins and Fur Auction
Here is a chance for everyone to help out Brian and Laura. (For some of you who are new, or possibly missed the posts, Laura is currently starting treatment for cancer.) All of the proceeds from this auction will be going to Brian and Laura. The rules are simple: chances are $5.00 each or three for $10.00 and you can purchase as many chances as you want. Since the tickets are lower priced, everyone will have a chance to help. To keep this as simple as possible, your check (made payable to Brian Keahey) should be sent to Jerry Latta, 220 Main Street, Defiance, OH 43512. Jerry will post the name and number of chances purchased in this thread so that you will be able to see when your check has made it and you will also be able to see how the auction is progressing. With the time delay in mailing checks, the auction will start today and we are asking that you have your check in the mail no later than October 19th. The winner will be drawn by Brent on October 26th which will give a week for any final checks to reach Jerry.
Now for the list of items that the winning ticket will be sent:

the money order is in the mail; one question. the article states "the winner will be drawn" does that mean one person will get all these items or will a winner be drawn for each item? it doesnt matter to me, like i said its in the mail, just wanted to make shur everybody understands. hopefully not everybody is as anual as me.
frswtr,
The winner will win the hole package! Everything listed will be shipped to the winner.
Brent
as soon as I buy stamps, my check will go out!!!
mine goes out this am on the way to PT
wonderful package guys; someone will be very happy.
might i add here that it is a wonderful cause and i hope everybody buys at least one ticket.
Thank you guys! Your support is very appreciated!
Brent
I'm gonna buy a couple tickets my self!! :eyebrow:
While I am not sure, I think that this package is worth around $250.00. Not a bad investment, so you might want to buy several chances.
Jerry
Can ya take a paypal payment?? :wo:
Semp
Paypal - as a last resort, yes. If it is a check, Brian and Laura get the full amount without Paypal taking a slice. Also, since we want the checks made out to Brian the Paypal would need to go to his account and then he would need to let me know who made the payment and how much it is. If you don't have a checking account, or don't want the significant other to know, send me a PM and I will see what can be done.
Jerry
I will get a check in the mail as soon as I get back home
I want to thank every one that is making this possible, and everyone that is participating

I see your point now. I will send a money order.
This is a very nice gesture to Brian from you guys.
Semp,
I know what you are saying, but the nice gesture is not from "you guys" it will be from "all of us" here at Fins and Fur. Every person that buys a ticket is part of the nice gesture.
Jerry

It shouldn't be a problem. We have a week's grace period between when we have asked for checks to be mailed and the drawing just so that they can make it here.

I second that!! We all win because we where able to help a friend in need!!!!!
Congrats. Bill.
congrats, if the hat doesnt fit let me know i'll model it for you.
Congrats!!! Now lets see some yote photos. :eyebrownod:
Bill...you suck :eyebrownod:
But congratulations anyway :highclap: Your gonna have more toys then you know what to do with now.
I'd like to personally thank everyone that participated in this also. The prize donors and the ticket buyers. Members pitching in to help another member and his family in some major distress.
A fine display of true sportsman is what you all are. :yoyo:
With that, I dont mean to take away from those who are here everyday and didn't buy any tickets towards this. Some are in financial situations that just couldn't validate a purchase at this time and that is perfectly fine. There's a lot of support going towards Brian and Laura from other members of this site, that is not in a monetary fashion. It all helps and is greatly appreciated in a time like this, trust me.
Now that the auction is over, I feel safe and want to say that I wanted to pitch in and buy some tickets, but didn't really want my name in the drawing as to take away chances from you guys.
So...now that it's cut and dried, and the loot is accounted for, I'll be writing a check out to Brian for $100 as my contribution towards this.
Jim What a way to step up you da man :bowingsmilie:
I knew we kept you around for a reason :laf:
Thanks
Thanks again to everyone who has helped make this a success. I will get the checks mailed out in the morning. I am just wondering if there is anything else I will need to mail. I might have to think about that a little longer. :innocentwhistle:
Jerry
WOOHOO... congrats Bill :yoyo: and Jim thats awesome of ya :congrats: ...my hats off to everyone on this board what a great place to hang out at
Ed
Laura and I would thank everyone involved with the raffle. You guys continually go above and beyond friendships. We are continuing to push through this challenge, and eventually we will get there. The support from everyone here is making that challenge easier to take on.
Thanks guys,
