I had a freind ask me today if I had ever heard of this caliber. I have not, but told him that some of you fellas may have. He is looking for ammo. So if you know where someone may have some please let me know.
Thanks

I believe the expression is "Good Luck". That is somewhat like hen's teeth - very hard to find. I did find this

Wow that is expensive. Thatnks for the info Yerry.
as you might have picked up on this rifle and cartridge was made by remington more than a coupl of years back and was before its day. the rifles didn't sell to good (not many made) and it was dropped from the line. i dont know if the rifles have any collectors value but as you can see the shells shure do.
Here's a little history on the 5mm. Hope you enjoy it!!

I had a Remington 591 years ago for turkey hunting. I sold it around 87 with 5 boxes of ammo. I switched to the 218 bee for turkey hunting then. After a few years of the 218 I went to the savage 24 22 hornet 12 ga combo. When I moved to TN they did not allow rifles for turkeys and sold it. Not trying to change the subject but I wish they allowed rifles for turkeys here in AL.
I wish I still had that old model 591 a lot of memories with that rifle. I have dispatched a few coyotes. stray dogs, crows and the occasional lame cow. At the time I sold it I didn't know of the conversion, and standard ammo was not available around were I lived.
The last ammo I saw for a 5mm was at Big Daddy's in South Pittsburg Tn. That was a year ago, and they had a rifle in that caliber but cant remember the make. RP
