Have been working on this call for a while. Had a customer who bought 2 Model T coyote calls ask if I could make him a raccoon call. I said sure if I could find a reed with the sound he wanted. Worked with a JC reed for awhile but could not get the sound I wanted. Ended up making the tone board from 2 of the 1/2 inch boards I use on predator calls with 2 reeds in between the boards. Got this idea from looking at several old calls in a collection that my hunting partner has. Took several hours and lots of reed material before I was satisfied with the sound. Wood is Brazilian Cherry...3 inch mag 12 Ga for size reference.
Bowslinger if you are out there hope this is what you are looking for!!!
