HaMer,
I don't think you will be disappointed with the Marlin.  :congrats:

What ammo are you planning on using?

The reason I ask.... I have two Marlin 22 mags, tested several brands of ammo in each.  Both rifles shoot CCT TNT's and Winchester Super-X's (in the silver box) very accurately.
On coyotes, within 100 yards, the Winchester hollow points have preformed well for me.

ch1-- I'm gonna try the CCI Maxi Mags in 40 grs & the 30gr V-Max load. I want the V-Max for groundhogs. But I will eventually try 5 or 6 different ammos for it. I want a HP load for coons & the occasional coyote. Fox will just have to eat whatever I feed it as a target of opportunity.  :laf:  This is my 3rd Marlin & the other 2 are very nice rifles that shoot real good.

Thanks for all the nice words guys!!

My gawd I thought it was one of those dern in-line muzzleloaders w/ that tube under the barrel.  :rolleye:
My didn't ya at least get the SS verison w/ that nice laminate stock?   :thumb2:
Are you going to put a scope on it or just use it for a t'mater stake?  :iroll:
22MAG! Why a 22mag?  :doh2:  22mag makes a good pistol cartridge, but in a rifle?
Did you buy this little girlie gun for Audrea (his granddaughter) for when she gets weaned? Ya know after she gets potty trained she's gonna want something more like a varmint killing gun.  ;yes;

Well, let me know when you get it & we'll go shooten.

Went to the range today. It seemed odd that I was there by myself.

:roflmao: :roflmao:

Here's shot numbers 15-20 out of the 983 @ 45yds. This was shot with the 40gr CCI Maxi Mags. 5 shots. Not too bad considering the conditions.

Can't wait to bloody it up & work with it when it's 10* ABOVE freezing. :laf: :laf: The triggers not too bad either. I was surprised at how nice it really is. It could be lighter but I'll be wearing gloves when using it.

At least one member of the family has some sense.  Glen, not talking about you.

That night was totally my fault Jerry. I should have been more interested in talking hand calls than just visiting casually over a fine dinner & enjoying your vacation pictures.

With all your talking, did you even get to see the pictures?      :rolleye:    Or was it that you only got to see the pictures and didn't say anything?

I really like the checkering.  I have a 336 is .35 rem.  It is under 1 inch at 100 yards with that new lever evolution.  Keep us up to date on what kinds of ammo it likes to digest.  I am in the market.
