Title: guess i'm bragging
Post by: frshwtr on November 08, 2007, 03:41:27 PM
in years past i could set up (setting for fox) 8 to 10 farms in a day, depending on the farm for how many traps i set. it was not unusual to make first night catches. well today around 11 am i decided to set three farms closer to home; not haveing a 4x4 anymore most of my setting is by walking on. well around 2pm i broke the handle on my hammer and had to go home for another one. there was a fiel i wanted to set back on the first farm set. didnt set it because of farmer working in the field. well when i got back the farmer came out and told me i had a fox in a trap across the road. thats the fastest i ever caught one that i know of.

I get a fair number of first night catches, but I have never gotten one on the same day I set  :shck: Was it a den set? Pretty impressive  :congrats:

Nice quick catch.  That one might have been out working the field as the farmer worked it.  I have had a couple of farmers tell me about  coyotes about 40 yards away from the tractor when they were working their fields.
