Title: Copenhagen lovers
Post by: FinsnFur on November 08, 2007, 08:22:16 PM
What the hell happen to Copenhagen Straight?
For a couple weeks on the old Copenhagen Straight cans they had a label that read, "new -coming soon Cope Straight".

I figured they were just changing the name and the can. The can used to be cardboard, and the Copenhagen inside was good course long cut tobaccy.

The new "Cope Straight"  which apparently replaced Copenhagen Straight is in a plastic can (fine for freshness) but the tobaccy is no where near as long cut as the original.

Quite frankly I'm a lil pissed  :sad3:

I liked straight for a while but always went back to the long cut.

I feel for ya though. If they ever screwed with the long cut there'd be hell to pay.

I like the Grizzly Long Cut Straight myself. :yoyo: Some of the other "long cut" brands are cut finer than sand and taste like :puke:

The "Copenhagen Straight" was long cut. As soon as they changed the name to "Cope Straight", it turned into fine cut.

fine cut is hard to dip. It's all messy and stuff.

COPENHAGEN  is simply German for horse droppings. They dry em, grind or shred em and put the finished product in a can. If you want real snuff, ya gotta go with Skoal. Often imitated, never equaled.

Unfortunetly I do swallow it.
Years ago when I worked at one of the Cabela's distribution warehouses someone got busted spitting in one of the secratarys trash cans.

All chew was banned from the warehouse instantly. I learned to swallow it cause I wasnt ready to quit. Got away with it too.  :eyebrow:

Yeah its the same here. We have several people that chew but there is no tobbaco on the floor so if ya want to chew you have to swallow, NO SPIT CUPS.

The whiskey is pretty good and an interesting change for a short time, but not a permanent repacement IMO.

Basically, it's good, but gets old quick.
