Title: Connecticut coyote
Post by: sleddogg on October 08, 2006, 09:11:57 AM
Connecticut isn't really known as a big coyote hunting state, and few folks take advantage of its huntable coyote population.

Since my state of Massachusetts coyote season is still closed, thought I might do a couple quick hunts in Ct, since I live on the Ma/Ct line.

I slipped out of work early Friday :nofgr:, and hunted a beautiful farm I just got permission to call on. Boy don't think the coyotes have ever heard a call, as it didn't take long.

I was using the new long range Tweety, and called a double in, but was only able to connect with one. Larger male approx 35 lbs, and wearing some thick fur already. Was nice to be out callin' again, and on such a pretty day.
