Title: Experiment that went right. Acrylic and Moose Antler Open reed call
Post by: ninthinning on November 22, 2007, 07:53:24 AM
This little gem is made from cast acrylic rod and moose antler.  Wanted to test this shape of cone for amplification.  Great little howler that fits the hand well.  Easy to control back pressure.  Hand made tone board. gone hunting

Ninth,

It does look like you have that tone board mastered.  I have some acrylic rod and need to give it a try.  I get the bug to try after looking at your calls.

I'm trying to figure out where the "went wrong" part is. I like it.

Jerry,  Making tone boards by hand takes a little practice but in time it gets easier.  I don't make many calls so spending 30 minutes making a tone board is no problem.

FinsnFur,  Many of my experiments end up in a big plastic bin,  this call turned out great and I will probably make more like it.

HaMeR,  This is the call end piece turned from the chunk of moose antler in the How To post.

Thank you,
