I think his one should be in the Small Game Forum but I'll leave it here since it is a deer. Or would have grown into one!! :roflmao: :roflmao:
23yds with the PSE & a 100gr Thunderhead XP.
I was on the ground when 2 came walking along. Then the turkeys came in behind me on the gas line. When the trailing deer ran up to the lead deer the turkeys flushed spooking the trailing deer. The commotion gave me time to get full draw on the lead deer that was 1/4ed to me. He turned to a 1/4ing away shot & looked back over his shoulder one last time. BIG mistake. He will prolly score right around 3" green P&Y. :laf: :laf:
Well according to Jerry's scale that would be a twelve point.
Regardless it is your first! :yoyo: CONGRADULATIONS
Besides that it sure looks tasty.
Hey it all looks the same in the freezer and them little ones eat better ;yes;
Congrats on connecting with the compound. :congrats: :congrats:
Congrats! :congrats: Yep, looks like there's some milk dripping from its lower lip. :roflmao:
Just kiddin. You got ya some fine eatin for sure!
Semp
Most definitely, that will be some food eating right there buddy.
That's a whole lot more then some people got. :eyebrownod:
:roflmao: :roflmao: Score 3" :yahoo: :laugh2: Well ya know, with all the deductions and stuff. :laf: :laf:
Congrats on the first one! Good job!
Thats awsome right there Glen. I got my first compound kill this year too. I know the feeling. It might wear off in a week or two.
DD
Way to go. 12 pointers are good eating.
Jerry
I forgot about the HF grading scale!! :doh2: :roflmao: :roflmao:
All those deductions won't affect the taste!! I'm gonna get some butterflies, round steaks, & a couple 5 lbs of stew meat from him plus the burger. Otter make quite a few good meals.
And Thanks for all the kind words!!
As for the smartass remarks,,, :readthis: :hahaha: well it just wouldn't be the same here without them!! :thumb2: :laugh2:
I'm now thinking about the trifecta. If I can tag one with the ML this weekend or between CHRISTmas & New Years I'll have to dust off the Horton!! That one will lay the smackdown real hard!!
Making calls, calling 'coon, & now shooting a compound bow. :iroll:
Bet you think you're a real Rick Paulette the Vermonator. :sarcas3:
:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
Congrats on the first Glen. :congrats:
Congrads! any deer with a bow is a good one!
Brent
Ditto to what KeeKee said. Plus those backstraps will be extra delicious. Congrats!
Thanks for the kind words guys!! It's cool to bring home a little button buck & have others realize it's an accomplishment the way I do. I'm doing this from the ground to keep it fun & interesting. In other words a joyous frustration of sorts. :laf: :laf:
I'm no Verminator!! But I am having fun!!
Shoulda put it in the contest...the way it's going you got pretty good odds.
QuoteShoulda put it in the contest...the way it's going you got pretty good odds.
:wo: For the biggest buck??!! :roflmao: :roflmao:
Got to checken on the ol' Vemonator & found this pix. It seems you two do resemble each other a lot, but ...
he has two 'coons. :roflmao:
 :wo: Sumtins fishy about this one!! I don't think the Verminator can handle the recoil of that 22WMR cuz all he uses on em is a bow.
:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
A bow kill is a bow kill, doesn't matter if its a doe or a 350 bc elk, I get the same feeling evertime I pull back and settle my pin on the vitals!! :yoyo:
Great Job by the way :highclap:.
Lucas
Thanks Lucas!! And I agree.
Good Job HaMeR. Btw is that a Nova your shooting?
Thanks Cody!! YEP!! It's a nice little bow & shoots purdy good. I would recommend it.

Thanks hammer!! And I agree!!
