Duck closes the end of the month, river is way to high to hunt but we got permission to hit a section of the flat along the river to lay out a spread this morning. We were actually wanting the geese but they liked the grassy field next door and never seen our spread. 3 flocks of ducks came over surprising us, then a pair came by and I took the drake, my boy Dylan thought they were crows and never even drew his gun.
Here's our spread, not much but works.
