Got out for three stands late this afternoon. Jason came over and wanted to go....we stayed within about a mile of the house. On the last stand, had a double come in to the Screamin' Demon.
The lead coyote came in 10 yards behind me...I didn't know he was there...then he circled out wide to get the wind....I caught movement hard over my right shoulder....I switched the butt of my little .204 to my left shoulder and kissed. He immediately froze at about 90 yards and looked my direction, I put one behind his shoulder and his front legs went stiff and he collapsed immediately. The 40 VMAX was perfect.
I never saw the second coyote, but Jason said he was much larger than this one, and this one was a Big coyote for this area. He was primed up and very pretty, and fat as butter.
