Title: FX-5 and new Screamin' Grey Fox score
Post by: possumal on January 26, 2008, 08:10:17 PM
Called in a big pair late today here in Jessamine County. Put the FX-5 and the JIB at the edge of a small woodlot at the end of a big hayfield.  Started out with the Coyote & Fox fight and switched back and forth with the new Screamin' Grey Fox. About 5 minutes into the call, a big pair came barreling across the hayfield from a big woods. I muted the caller when the big male was about 150 yds out, and turned on the JIB.  That big rascal went on full alert, but a 70 grain Blitz King in his right shoulder stopped all that. Well furred, 52 lb. male.  This is the 50th coyote I have killed on this particular farm over 6 years, and the 5th over 50 lbs.

Canine: No, the grandsons all live in Mercer County.

CCP:  That sound is a dandy.  I went late yesterday, and called in 4, but they stopped right in the middle of the man's cattle, and I couldn't get a shot.
