Title: good deal / go for it ?
Post by: Silencer on February 03, 2008, 03:02:11 PM
I found a deal on a 12 ft. V hull aluminum sea nymph boat with trailer but no motor
for $200. This sound good ? I'm not familiar with boat prices, but I told him to hold it until I found some more info.
I've fished out of the boat before and it's in excellent shape. I'd have to
turn it into a duck boat this summer and get a small motor but thats the fun part
It sounds good to me ?

Thanks guys

Yes, That is a good deal. If it's in good shape and has a roadworthy trailer, he could probably get at least $600 for it.

The trailer is road worthy and in great shape.   I'll tell him I want it.    Thanks all.

That is a real deal I sold a 10' jon boat with no trailer, in good shape for $350.

That's the same price I gave for an 8 foot puddle jumper last summer in like new condition, no trailer. Go for it if it suits the waters you will be working. Jimmie

Just the local river here Jimmy, no major waves or anything like that.  The current's pretty good in the winter/spring
but I've learned to stay away from her then.

That was why I bought the little boat. A few holes that were easier to work with it and a heck of a lot of fun to fish when your by yourself. Nobody a skiing or shootin them little water cycles around making waves and racket. Just pop her in the truck and go when I please.

Show us some pics when you get her rigged the way you want. These waterfowlers down here do everything but make a house boat out of them any more. I used to do a bit of duck hunting years ago in the bottoms out of a little boat just like the one your talking about. We could take her just about anywhere other than the river. Dad still fishes out of that one on occasions. Jimmie
