Title: Decent RF ammo prices.
Post by: HaMeR on February 19, 2008, 07:12:54 AM
I have no idea what S&H is on ammo but I would think if you bought at least 1 brick it wouldn't be too bad at these prices. I just got this e-flyer today & in light of the recent ammo price hikes I felt I should share this info. Hope someone finds this useful.

I don't know how many of you shoot CCI, but if you look at the Standard Velocity and the Green Tag information they are identical.  I called CCI years back and asked what the difference was and was told that when they get an "excellent" head space the bullets go into Green Tag boxes.  I asked him how often that happens and he said, "Whenever we are running low on Green Tag ammo."  I bought a couple of boxes of Green Tag and checked the head space and compared it to the Standard Velocity - he was right, there was no significant difference.  Not everyone likes standard velocity, but I have found that a squirrel or similar animal that is hit in the head can not tell the difference between the speed of the bullet.

Hard to beat the Federal Value Pak at Wally world for $10.97.  550 rounds.  If you are just shooting em up this is the way to go.  :yoyo:  :yoyo:
