Title: Problem with my prey master
Post by: bushmaster on February 20, 2008, 09:45:12 AM
OK, i'm sure that i'm not the only FNFer with a johnny stewart prey master.  Now, I took it out on a hunt and the dang thing would Not turn on.  I figured it was the batteries, so i changed them when i got home... NOTHING, I noticed a little moisture where the batteries are installed and wiped it down.  Still, nothing.  Do you guys think its fried or what?

Dry it out real well, if the batteries are good, its got to be something with the card connection, if the card isnt getting proper contact it wont play.  I also cleaned the golds parts of the cards with alcohol quite often.

Common problem with the Preymasters.  You probably need to clean the contacts on the cards and inside.  Radio Shack has some electrical contact cleaner and long wood swabs that work pretty well for that.    Mine would di ti every now and then too.   That's how I fixed it.
