We had our first nice frosty morning this morning...so Jim and I HAD to gop out....dang if everywhere we went, some one was feeding cattle or checking gas wells.....we made one undisturbed stand...and we had one hang up about 600 yards....dunno what was up with him, but he wasn't coming...Oh well, going back :)
Got this "Bonus Yote" on the way in this morning....spotted him out across a large field, I held on his back bone...misjudged the distance and almost shot under him...but with a little luck, the 75 Vmax found it's mark...after we collected him and got back to the truck, we lasered it....330 yards.

What we were looking at when we saw him...

The last thing he ever saw...

The reason my little Browning isn't in the pic, I took the AR across the field to go get him...'cause I only have 3 more rounds for my .243....gotta go load!!
Thanks for reading our story!!
Joe
Nice shootin :congrats:
I gotta hurry up and retire so I can do that on frosty mornings :sneer:
Sweet!! Cant wait for the snow to strat to cover the ground here. Love hunting on those crisp mornings! Even better to get back home and thaw out!
You are deadley with that 243. Were you prone or resting on the truck?
Good shootin Joe keep it up
