Hey 204 guys what twist rate are you running and what grain projectile are you shooting for yotes?
I'm buying a 204 barrel for AR and I can't decide on 1:10(WOA) or 1:9(Shilen).
No 204's here...but I'd like one to be my next :eyebrownod:
I think I'm going to go with the 1x10 twist after reading this and some stuff on ARFCom and Rugerhunting.
.204/20
- 9" for VLD bullets
- 10" for bullets up to 50gr.
- 12" for bullets up to 40gr.
mine is 1/12 i shoot 32 and 40 grain factory ammo does real good in my new england arms......never seen one with 1/9 or 1/ 10
Well now you have..

I'm purchasing the WOA in 26" Fluted.. For 3 reasons.
(1) Velocity and accuracy out of the 26" barrel will help on those long shots
(2) I've read a lot that some of the 1x12 twist guns were having issues stabilizing the 40gr bullets.
(3) Berger and Hornady both have bullets in the 40-50gr class for more kinetic energy when hitting the target(better for yotes). I will still be able to produce over 4k fps with these bullets.
