Well, this morning was uneventful for my boys. EVERY bird we'd get going at least 6 hens would cut us off. I dont ever recall seeing this many hens ever in the past.
I tried every trick in the book, now the boys have to wait till regular season. We all had fun anyhow and learned a few new things to boot.
Didnt get any pics, was hunting way too hard to even think about it, all I wanted is for my green horn 12 yr old to score.
Yea well at least you got em out.
You actually taught them some valuable stuff if you really think about it.
Very true Jim, never thought of it that way. Hopefully when the season starts up in a week, most of these hens will be bred up.
After calling around I found we're not the only ones that happened too in this area. I talked to alot of guys that want
to get togehter this fall for hen season.
