I doubt I have been missed but I went to SC turkey hunting at the end of March, got sick down there and hunted only one full day and then came home early. Whatever I had stuck with me for until the beginning of last week. I was so weak that I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes.
I have been able to get back in the shop and have turned some calls for customers. Here are some pictures and I am sorry that I didn't get some of the back of the calls but they are just plain.
The first 2 calls I made for a guy in SC who runs Waccamaw Hunting Services down there. These are made from Zebrawood. The 3rd one I made for a fellow in GA. It is Crystal over Glass in Birdseye Maple.

Real sorry to hear ya gettin so sick Blacky.
Hope you're gettin back on track now.
Calls look good. So do the strikers. I like all the woods,
the eyes on the maple striker are cool! Nice job.
Excellent craftsmanship.......I gotta get me one of them one day.
Great job on the calls, I read your other post and missed this one somehow. Excellent work :yoyo:
Your calls are A1 even when you're under the weather Gene!! Glad your feeling better & look forward to more of your work!! :thumb2: :thumb2:
Obviously I've been way to busy at work lately cause I've missed some great posts here lately.
Beautiful calls! Definately top notch. :highclap:

How is the Picture put in the call? is it clear and the pic is on the bottom or is it poured in 2 parts and the pic put in the middle ?
I like that idea, I have 2 Sons that Turkey hunt and I just started learning to call myself, I went with the youngest Son, he was hunting and I was just along for the ride, he called in a Tom on the first morning and when the Hen stopped at 30 yds
the Tom stopped at 65 yds and the Son started breathing hard, he was getting Turkey Fever
The 2 birds would not come in any closer, so we went to some other birds and had 2 Toms at 25 yds BUT their heads were about 4" apart from each other so the Son did not shoot, he only had 1 Turkey tag and didn't want to chance killing
2 birds with 1 shot, I may have tried it myself, but he didn't want to chance it  he is smarter than I am
But I may be in the market for some slate and box calls
