Took my boys out this weekend, didnt score but had 2 toms and 2 jakes in shooting distance, my oldest couldnt get a good shot through a hemlock branch that was hanging in front of him. I was proud of him, he didnt take a poor shot. They both were all pumped up, was wet and windy this morning.

The dates on the pics are wrong, I just figured out how to use date stamp and never set the correct date :doh2:
I do have some filmed footage of the me calling and the birds gobblin but they were just far enough in past my boy that you couldnt see them strut, I'll share that if anyone is interested.
Good times, I love my boys !! They were very safe and we all had fun !!!
Kids in the woods? Wonderfull! Sounds like a great time, Youll get em next time. :yoyo:
Looks like some decent country to be hunting too.
As long as they still wanna go..you got it made.
I kind of like the hunts like yours as there is action and you still get to go out again. Good job. :highclap:
You got that right pitw.
The best part is, they were talking about it all day long, cant beat that with a stick :yoyo:
Really cool they wanna hunt as bad as they do. :congrats: :congrats:
I am glad to see that you took your boys out hunting, but even happier to read that your son did the right thing on passing on a questionable shot. That is really difficult to teach and he probably learned it by example. Who has he been hunting with?
