THIS NORTHERN WATERSNAKE ATTACKED THE PICKEREL WHEN HE HEARD IT SPLASHING IN THE WATER, THEY ARE NON VENOMOUS BUT VERY AGGRESSIVE

I will second that for sure. I like little snakes, but a snake that attack a pickerel is something else.

unlike most snakes they wont run theyll try and bite ya....i saw one at the same pond catch a small catfish and drag it up on the bank and try for about an hour to eat it but couldnt get past the big head, finally gave up, i stuck the catfish back in the water and it sat for a while then swam off, them cats is tough. Speakin of tough last year i saw a family fishing, they looked like city folk, well that pond is called turtle pond due to mega snappin turtles, this young kid managed to grab a smallish turtle that then grabbed him by the finger and wouldnt let go, cut him pretty good, last i saw the turtle let go, and they were headin for the emergency room. We offered them some ice from the beer cooler :innocentwhistle:
