Post by: Silencer on May 29, 2008, 01:37:09 PM
Quotemust be legal to harvest at the time and location of it's catch

Bass arent open till June 14th but its legal to fish-catch & release according to the PA regs

Can I still use bass if I'm releasing them ?

Thanks   Vic

Edit: nevermind, think I'll wait till the 14th to be on the safe side.

We might hit them tomorrow night.

Actually ya know what......I'm gonna pull cats from that rough category and put them in their own with a  16" minimum. That category was made to a little unbalanced with the cats in it. Sorry bout that.

16" is fair considering all the cats we have up here is bullhead.  We dont get them big channel cats or them other boat sized beasts.

I figured it was take home to eat, they dont want ya hastling the bass for tourny purposes anyhow.  I'll wait on em, just got the permish to fish a lake thats loaded  and I want some fresh fillets.

Thanks

Because it's a fair length that's found almost everywhere, they aren't juvenile and can be harvested on most inland waters, and it eliminates someone from bringing home the bacon with 60 4" inchers

Your holding your own buddy...keep up the good work.
