Well,about 8:00 in the morning me and Weedwalker will be meeting up and heading to the lake.He will probably have some good fish to add to his contest entries,if not,I'll loan him mine ! :roflmao:

Well, Straycat and I finally got together for a little fishing. It was a pretty tuff day with the fish not biting too good. But having Straycat in your boat can make even the worst day very enjoyable. I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to doing it again sometime.
Shortly into the trip, Straycat set the hook and the fight was on. It was a brutal battle,but in the end, Stray came thru with a largemouth bass.

After a brief rest from the struggle with the bass, he was right back at it. He threw his line in and within just a minute, his float was GONE! It just took off! It was a massive channel cat. He wresteld it thru the trees to the side of the boat. Not wanting to take any chances on loseing it, he clamped the fish lip gripper things on it and hauled it in the boat. What a day!

We managed to catch a few more bass that were only 13" - 19" before the big thunderstorm came. But I had a blast.
Did you guys keep the bass, and fry er up after wards? Ole stray is quite a charactor....glad you guys got out. Thanks for bringing us back some details. :biggrin:
