Did you know that we no longer alow non residents to ice fish in New Hampshire?  (unless they are from Maine)

True.  You can check it out on Snopes.com  :)

The state had too many instances of flatlanders coming up here to ice fish, going home with 500 pounds of ice and then almost drown trying to cook it.

If you think that is pure BS - consider that they all came from the state the elected Ted Kennedy to the Senate for 46 consecutive years,

Al

Just to round out what THO said, although the flatlander is not allowed to legally ice fish in NH, there is an "apprentice" ice fishing permit available to flatlanders for $300.00 which will allow them to be on the ice only with a licensed NH ice fishermen and limits the flatlander to such support activities as grilling, opening beverages, hauling gear, cleaning fish etc. At no time is the flatlander allowed to fish or offer advice.
