In my quest to make a howler for BodD, I have been perfecting my use of the Foredom a bit. Since my first encounters with the Bit Of Death, I seem to have figured out where and more importantly, where not to put my fingers.
This is a Black Pearl Acrylic Howler that was shaped with the Fordom inside and out. It has one of my hand made toneboards (not those molded things I was fooling with last week thank God).
I was told that you could not work acrylic this way, But did i listen? Like that's a shock to anyone.
This call is all hand made, no part of it was turned on the lathe. Sanding and polishing it was not fun till the end, then I think it was worth it :)

Al,
That thing is truly amazing. Anyone should be proud to hold that call in their collection, or on their lanyard.
DD
WOW Al, truly amazing! :highclap: :highclap:
Pat
:rolleye: I aint got a freakin clue how to work that stuff & here you come along with these last 2 calls!! Kinda rubbin it in aren't ya??
:laf: :laf: Man that thing looks like a shiner!! I like the way it looks like a scene from outer space. Way cool stuff!! :congrats: :congrats:
Sorry Hammer - I guess I will hold off posting the other one then :(
Just kidding - there aint no other one.
Glad you like the call.
Al
Yep! That was worth the effort. That calls a beauty!
:laf: :laf:
Nice job Al. I've never seen an acrylic call quite like it.
Al,
That turned out very nicely and I am sure that it sounds great too. The first "hand killer" that you made was equally as beautiful, just more painful to make.

Holy- kee rap the thing looks too good to take hunting.
Awesome work Bradley :yoyo: :congrats:

Sorry Al. I got in a hurry paying catch up.
:roflmao: @ the typo now!!!
THO Al: I believe that may be the best of your best. Really a great looking call. Congrats! :congrats:
Thanks Al.
It's OK Jim, I dont mind my calls being assoicated with BradH's one bit :)
Al
Thanks Al , but I don't see myself as a master. I still make a lot of mistakes :nono:
As a woodcarver and call maker , I do know the tools you used and the effort that went into it. A dozen things could have gone wrong from conception to finished product with that piece. Last week after cleaning up the inside of a carved work boot I added some finishing touches and cut right through it, ruining it. It was thinner in that one spot and I could not tell it by looking and no way to mike the insides of such a piece. I definately aplaud your efforts. Jimmie
ey HameR...shaaaaad ahp! :innocentwhistle: :laf:
I was sure I replied to this,but after looking I see I didn't :doh2:
That is an amazing call right there Good Job Al :yoyo:
It's your lucky day Jimbo!! Bopeye gave me a couple BITE ME coupons but I don't know if they were for me to use on myself or you!!
:roflmao: :roflmao:
