Title: Big ouch!
Post by: Ladobe on June 26, 2008, 04:04:40 PM
Was checking into putting my Nikon LX(HG) 10X42 binos up for sale.   Bought them but never used them thanks to that last accident, so they have been just sitting in their box for almost two years and are still brand new.   Considered one of the best binos made for many years with simply awesome glass and coatings, I laid out $1400 for them.     They were discontinued by a model that used econo glass yet cost more, but didn't make the grade (because of the glass).   It's almost scary how much I will loose selling them now, even though they are what they are.   What I get for ignoring them and not selling them sooner I guess.   Could be they'll get passed on to my son just like the others were.   Way more than he'll ever need or use, but it may be easier to take the loss giving them to him than selling to a stranger.

Moral of story... be careful what you buy, especially on the high end stuff, and make sure you will get some use out of it.
