I know that many of you have included my family in your prayers and for that I am very thankful. I thought I would give everyone an update and let you know that our (both yours and ours) prayers have been answered.
Good news - the grandkids are all doing well. Maddie, the 4 1/2 year old who has been undergoing treatment for cancer the last two years, got a clean scan on her last visit and is now off of all chemo. She is scheduled for surgery this morning to remove the port that was put in about a year and a half ago to have a direct line for administering medications. Toby (open heart surgery) is doing well and his last echocardiogram showed that the two holes in his heart had closed. He still has some minor narrowing in the aorta that the doctors will continue to watch, but the doctors are not worried about it right now. Since the heart defect normally is found in siblings, they had an echo done on Lily and got the results yesterday that there were no problems with her heart. One son-in-law had his tonsils removed and he is doing well and finally Angie (Toby's mom) seems to be fully recovered from having her gall bladder removed.
So, for a change rather than posting asking for prayers, I am VERY happy to post that the prayers have been answered.

:whew: Thanks for the update Jerry!! I am truly glad to hear all of this. I absolutely hate it when the little ones are in danger of being taken from us before they ever get a chance at life. Best of Luck in everybodies continued recoveries & I hope you are sleeping better now my Friend. :biggrin:

I wasn't aware of all the medical problems happening your way Jerry...I gues when you get away from the keyboard a few days you tend to miss stuff. That has to be hard to go through especially with kids so young. Anyway, I'm golad to hear everybody is doing fine and I hope they all make a quick and full recovery.
