Title: Coyotes taking on the neighbors Golden Retriever.
Post by: FinsnFur on July 11, 2008, 09:05:02 PM
Almost forgot I got woke up the night before last about 12:30am by the neighbors dog barking up a storm.
They keep him fenced up in the yard 24/7 and he really never makes a ruckus. I figured he seen someone walking around or a stray cat and he'll shut up shortly.

About 10 minutes into the ordeal I could hear coyote barks and screams mixed in and I knew exactly what was going down :eyebrownod:
There's a real deep drop off gully sorta speak behind our houses which are on the edge of town, and a creek running through the gully....and a pretty thick tree line at the top separating us from the drop off and the creek.

I could hear the coyotes getting closer as their screams and barks made what seemed a parallel parameter along the tree line.
Man I was getting excited :eyebrow:
I was waiting to hear the thrashing of wire fence when the opposers finally met. But pandemonium was quickly silenced when someone forced the dog inside. :doh2:

Should grabbed the Video cam and got some infrared footage :eyebrownod:

:roflmao: That woulda went over good within town limits.
The neighborhood slowly lumbars to life with porch lights flicking on one at a time and eating away at the blanket of black that moments before we lay resting in. :laf: :laf:

Look how eloquently Jimbo put this sentence together. Jimbo has a Ralph Waldo Emerson in him that's just waiting to burst out.  :congrats:
