Quetico Provincial Park in Canada, just across the border from Minnesota. Its part of the Boundry Waters area.

I had that same question myself. I had never seen one like it before, and he just flew right into the middle of our campsight one afternoon. It took me awhile to figure it out, but the internet made it not too tough. It is a male Evening Grosbeak. I have a couple more pictures I'll post along with some more of the beautiful scenery.
