Having sold almost every pelt I have ever trapped, my wife sometime ago thought I should keep a hide from every furbearer in Alaska, her reasoning was that should we ever have to leave I would have them as memories of my time trapping here. After trapping several over the past years I finally decided to have one mounted, the main reason is, I built the taxidermist a shed, in return he mounted this one for me. I thought the melting ice under the foot was a nice touch, along with the patches of snow. Twenty eight days till moose season.
Eat moose, 12,000 wolves can't be wrong

The taxidermist did a very good job on that mount. Very realistic, but I really haven't spent much time up close an personal with a Wolverine.
