Who's up for another bow contest?
Let's see what those interested will be hunting. Last years was based on whitetail rack size and I think some folks felt left out.
WV deer are too small But I'm game :eyebrownod:
Sure why not even though I did not get a deer with my bow last year I'm in.
Is it going to be a photo contest and a antler contest again?
I'm not sure yet Chad, still looking for input at this point.
I think a whitetail rack contest since it's the most popular, and a picture contest would be a good way to go again. The picture contest allows anybody with anything.
I didn't get a 54'' waist eating horn,,,
Jim, The picture contest allows anybody with anythingwould be cool :yoyo:
my quote of the day is this
horn's make thin soup
I'm in!! :yoyo:
 Unless I don't shoot one then I guess I'm not in. :wo:
:laf: :laf:
OH why not I will try to make it interesting
I am in
I killed this one last year with my bow would that even compete in something like this......... Someone stole the horns :mad3:

Looks like that deer is a little small all the way around :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
Just kidding nice looking deer there Al
Count me in !
I think too that's about the easiest way to do it, have one with biggest rack ( total gross score ? )
and one picture contest that gives everybody that harvests a deer a chance.
Yeah coulda entered that one last year Al.
It might not have qualified for the biggest whitetail rack but it would certainly apply for the photo contest. Maybe find a better back drop this year, then under the deck :laf:
About four days befor that was all fire wood...
I am not sure if even the back drop would make the photo any better in Al's photo
There is just something in that photo that shouldn't be there. Al step out of the pic once and lets see if that makes it better :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
Count me in...... I dont think that the winner should be chosen on rack size alone, howbout the photo quality itself or video of the kill, most unusual, piebald deer or just overall presentation and story. Whats the prize anyway????
I like the way we did the Spring turkey contest. Let the members vote on the nicest looking buck & the best picture.
Plus I wanna see Chad throw a big buck over that stump he carries around for his photos!! :roflmao: :roflmao:
I am much less tired after rifle seson comes in :eyebrow:
Better back drop.......same old sob

Come on down here I will take you out......I got some nice bucks this year and not much time for bowhunting :eyebrownod:
Loren didnt read the photo part of the contest...he got too excited and ripped right through it. :laf:
Oct. 1 - Nov. 14 & Dec. 1 - Jan. 1
anyone else?
Kentucky September 6 to January 19
Pennsylvania - October 4th to Jan. 10th
So far the earliest is Kentucky at Sept 6th so we can pretty much start it with a three count. We'll start at the count of three...on three?
1
2
...
Anyone else? We'll have to pick an ending date based on whoever has the latest season.
2 1/2 :innocentwhistle:
So far it looks like Ohio has the longest season, but I am up for ending the contest last day in Jan
Anyone have any objections to that
Not I, it don't matter to me.
go for it..........
I'll be coyote hunting in January so it doesn't matter to me. With all of the gun and muzzleloader seasons, I probably won't bow hunt a lot.
starts oct 18th ends dec 31 here in wv
The contest is now running. Click the banner under the menu on the front page of the forums, or visit the Archery forum for details
Jim, this is a deer my friend shot at 25yds. I know it is a muley and this is just a picture of a nice deer to go along with the nice antelope he got . (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g78/cyote_man/Dereksmuley2008.jpg)
We have some pretty good deer out here and he manages to get a good one every year. I think I might have posted his deer from last year but here it is again. (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g78/cyote_man/DereksNiceMuley08.jpg)
