Title: A Little Light Reading For North Eastern Coyote Hunters
Post by: THO Game Calls on September 21, 2008, 12:15:15 PM
Those who hunt in the north east may find this article interesting.   The first 15 pages are a bit slow, but it picks up a bit after that.

For some nuts and bolts info however, to down to page 32.  You might find something there that will interestest you.

One thing I did find interesteing is that their studies show that coyotes in the South East may actually be larger than coyotes in the North East.

There is also some very interesting information on cross breeding between coyotes and wolves, and they state that most off spring, go to the wolf pack and not the coyote packs.

Anyway, an interesting read for anyone hunting in the North East.

I'm probably wrong here, but does that look more like a dog than a coyote to anyone else?

Looks like a coyote to me. Not a very old one but it does look like a coyote.
