and Scouting.
I picked up some more land to hunt yesterday and we had to check it out
Yes I have some pics to share
As we were getting ready to head out the door in the morning Chris hollers look out the window, and coming up
the driveway about 60 yards from the porch were 2 doe's,and since bow season had just opened I had to try
Down the steps and grab my bow I am gonna try and head them off. That didn't work.
Lets go hunt some coyotes
We didn't see anything the first 3 stands
I did remember to take a pic of stand #2
(http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r300/bnccont/09-24-08004.jpg)
Then back to the house for lunch and some BS then back out the door to hunt some ground hogs
I missed one at about 2 hundred yards.
On the way to are next coyote stand we drive by the farmers place that only give me permissin to hunt his fields
that we share property lines on,so we stop and talk with him for a few and when I first ask to hunt the rest of his property he starts to shake his head no then I tell him coyotes and it was absolutly go get them  and why your at it shoot some ground hogs too.
On to hunting coyotes the next stand still nothing but should produce when the leaves are off.
Since I got permission to hunt some new land I told Joe lets go check it out.
We done 3 stands on this piece
The beans haven't been picked yet but we had to try lots of pines that boarder the fields hollers and hills
Stand #1

Walking to stand #2
I told Joe he shoud shoot this ground hog,and he did Nice head shot with the 9mm
We stepped it off and lost count it was about 3and 1/2 yards :roflmao:

Walking back to the truck we came across some coyote and fox tracks in the dust and since we had alittle rain the night before we sure we had got busted on one of the sets here.
While walking around here we came across another feild entrance and found these tracks in the mud

I had a great time even though we only got one ground hog.
Looks like you guys had some fun. Nice shot Joe
It had to feel good to get out too. Thanks for sharing the pics.
Joe, 3 1/2 yards?
Cool write up Bill. I was wondering if Joe made it up this way. I thought about that yesterday while setting out looking for a deer. Glad you guys got together to hunt again too. :yoyo:

Jim
We had a great day and we covered a good bit of ground
Al I will set aside a Saturday and we will hunt together
Rich that is a Marlin 9mm that Joe was using I bought that gun last year,if ya ever get up this way and want a
chance at a ground hog just look me up.
Just so you guys know this I was backing Joe up on that shot the marlin 44 mag was ready for action just in case it was needed :roflmao: It was a tough shot but Joe was able to pull it off :eyebrownod:

Don't let em mess with ya Joe, heck anybody can shoot one from
a couple hundred yds out, not everybody can stalk up and put the sneak
on one to 3 1/2 yds.! :eyebrow:
Good job on the back up Bill ! :laf:
No Amish this time Glen :roflmao:
Scott
Not evryone can shoot one a couple hundred yards away I missed one earlier in the day at 200 yards :laf:
:laf: :laf: I know,,, but where's the danger and excitement in that! :laf:
( I'm just tryin to help Joe out here. :innocentwhistle:)

he had no place to go :laf:
:highclap: Sounds like ya'll had a blast, Great shooting Joe! :laf:
