The best part is that this area is only accessible by canoe...and we all know how lazy some hunters can be. I have had this place to myself two weekends in a row :yoyo:
Enjoy,
Steve
Dear Steve,
I hate you
Mannnnnnnnnnn!, that looks so sweet
That is beautiful !!!!! I'm jealous as well, lol. Thats like a childhood dream of mine, hunt and run a trap line out of a canoe like that.
Thanks for sharing Steve :highclap:

That's been a goal and a dream of mine as well. I am making it happen this year for sure. I found this place last year but I haven't really had a chance to thoroughly explore it until now. It is looking pretty good for rats, beaver and mink. I might even take my muzzleloader for a boat ride after Christmas if it hasn't froze up yet.
I can't wait to hit this place for muskrats...now, that is going going to be some fun.
Steve
How cool is that ... your own honey hole.
Thanks for sharing.
Isn't that every hunters dream?? Their very own secret honey hole!!!!
Yup, I'm jealous too.
I have a few little honey holes that I have all to myself for ducks...heres a couple mallards on the last day of the early season...lucky for them I was muzzle loading

:yoyo: :doh2:
Ewwwww doggy...we get caught with that and we slapped with a big ole fine. No shootin water vermin.
Slap that rat between 2 biscuits.........thats some good vittlin! ........Jimbo, I had some flatlander jump all over me on a forum once about shooting muskrats....said it was illegal, blah blah....well it is legal in NH/VT and theres even a Spring season....its a lot of fun kind of like jump shooting ducks but they cant fly :eyebrow:....by crikey I think im goin ratting with the Super Comanche today!
Quoteflatlander
lmao, thats what we call em around here as well :eyebrownod:
that a woody drake not in plume yet ?
Cool pics Nasty...that looks like a great set up you have there. I plan to take a crow deke and call with me to my place too. There are tons of crows flying in the area. Sounds like a good way to pass the time while waiting for some ducks to swing around.
No muskrat hunting in PA either...trapping only here. No spring season - it runs from just before Thanksgiving until the first or second week in January. We still catch a few after the season closes in beaver sets though. We try to make the sets so they will avoid catching rats, but its not always possible.
BTW...what kind of kayak ya got there or is that a poke boat?
Steve
