Title: Supper time.

Bob and I went out for some grouse for supper and this is what we got.

Is that a doubled barreled smoke between the retriever w/ the blue T-shirt & the ol' butter churn.
Speakin' of the butter churn I got many an achy arm churning butter on one just like that as a kid.  :nono:

Yes  vvarmitr it is an English made double barrel percussion shotgun made around 1830.  14 gauge and more fun than any new gun to me.  We still use the churn and I believe more young ones should learn how to do thing's like that.

they have to be my favorite tasting bird.  Grouse n bisquits, grouse n dumplins, breaded grouse, grouse MMMMMMM......  I'm starving now !!!

I grew up runnin wild in the hills of VT chasing snowshoe hare and partridge, and when you got a bird it was and still is, a trophy   :bowingsmilie:
