Post by: alscalls on November 16, 2008, 12:50:20 PM
This is my first turned deer horn rabbit distress.......John kinda got me wanting to try it and here it is.....I am not sure what to do with it yet but it is harder to do than a wooden one for sure.
DANG is this tiny call ever LOUD!  (22 rimfire for size comparison)

I love the size compairison Al. LOL.  The call looks nice. They do seem to be loud for being little. Must be the density of the bone. What reed did you use?  I really like the lvdr 002 and bladed kinda heavy.

I hope you have better luck than I do finding antlers. The price of them will eventually stop me from making antler calls.

ok Al how hard do I need to try to talk you out of it  :eyebrow: fine lookin call would go great with your first antler howler I got off of ya  :eyebrow: I agree will Bill smack a price on that little feller and put it on the call store since Im off on vacation this week one of the other fellers should be able to jump on it before I get back next week. gettin paid to hunt this week if I dont get snowed in that is kind of hard to hit the back roads in a car if we get 10 inches of snow like they are predictin. anyway love the call Al yet another great call

John,
I have never payed for an antler........I either kill em or find them or people give them to me.
Our local smoke pole shop is selling pieces of antler for $16 each to make knife handles out of and they cant get cow horns any more  :madd: That is way to steep for me....

LORDDAL ,
I am listening ..........enjoy yer hunting trip and relax man you need it. :eyebrownod:
