Hey Jim,
I am noticing the ads at the very bottom of the forum. One was for Obama T-shirts and today there was one about "the God who wasn't there" Says "Ads by Google". Just seems that some of these are a little out of place on this forum. Is this something you have no control over? Maybe just a joke to see if anyone was paying any attention?? Just wondering.
Jim
Actually I do have control over them, but there are SOooooooooooooooo many of them it's tough to figure out or find which ones to filter since the categories are endless.
I blocked one the other day on Obama, called ProjectHopedotcom
By the next day they had already bought another domain that needed to be blocked called ProjectHope08dotcom
I have to have the domain name off the link to block it. So it takes me a while to actually get to see them.

I saw 'em too. Pisses ya off a bit! :argh:
I hear ya...it disgusts me too. Get the link from it and I can add them to the filter.
Jim,
Thanks for the reply. It's not a biggie. I just wondered about them. I don't have to look at them if I don't like them.

:laf: Actually I was insinuating I need help in tracking them down.
Oh, OK,
Little slow on the up take here sometimes! I'll keep my eyes peeled. Thanks again for all you do Jim to keep this board up and running!!!
Jim
I don't think I've ever looked at them. I guess my pea brain automatically filters out such stuff from sites I visit.
The ones I absolutely hate are the pop up ads that jump up right in the middle of what you are reading. I use all kinds of pop up blockers but sometimes one gets through and then I go in to strangulation mode. :mad3:
Strangulation :roflmao:
Pathology, Surgery. to compress or constrict (a duct, intestine, vessel, etc.) so as to prevent circulation or suppress function.
You aint, I say you aint seeing no pop ups on here.
Well maybe one to let you know you have a PM, but you can shut that off
I just saw one named ... gay bears something or other. :rolleye:
I was reading Okanagan's thread about the grizzly bear tracks. Does the story having the word bear in it cause that to come up?
That reminds me ... I was given an issue of Guns & Ammo & it had several sex related ads in the back. :doh2: :puke:
The Anti's are always saying our willys are little. Did they come up w/ this because of the ads in the gun rags for male enchancement?
Remember several years back the Anti's were saying that gun owners were most likely to be sexual predators. Turns out when they did an actual study the opposite was actually true. :roflmao: They sure dropped that in a hurry! :hahaha:
I'll have to go over to the bear thread and watch for it VV.
Yes the topic kind of decides what gets shown on the Google ads. They are suppose to be as closely related to the content thats on that particular page as possible.

Not even close! :iroll:
Ah c'mon... bear/bear?
Never the less I found it and filtered it
