Title: Winter Caribou Hunt
Post by: Tikaani on December 02, 2008, 01:32:47 AM
Just a few pictures from this mornings hunt.  Went north, it was an any sex hunt so we shot two cows.  Temperature was in the 20 below range.  Well make pimento loaf, pepperoni sticks and summer sausage with the meat.

Hunt hard, die tired

Really good of you to share those pic's for us sir.  That cold weather butchering get's done rather quickly I'd assume.  Meat should keep well also.

Doesn't look like the kind of weather I would want to be out in, but I hear it is a "dry" cold - just like Arizona is a "dry" heat.  But I don't really care because to me -20 is COLD.  Congratulations on the hunt.

Nice pics. Thanks.  That does look cold.

At least you don't have to worry about blow flies.
