close but no ceegar....again...i think im on number 4 or 5 chances, had a 'yote comin to the call last night, i just didnt knwo he was there.
went out right at darkk after classes were done for the day for a quick try, called into a draw facein angled with downwind slightly to my left in the tall pines.
called for 20 mins off and on with my open reed, just turned around for the hell of it real quick and there was a young yote not 30yds behind me comin down the wheeler trail.......directly UPwind of my spot, well, when i turned for the shot ( i was alone) he turned tail and ran like heckfire as i sent a .204 v-max after'm to no avail, figger I'll give that spot a week and grab my neighbor for another go......I'll drop one one of these days
Oh yeah, they can be sneaky :eyebrownod:
Well at least you have them coming in, I like to hunt with a Pardner myself as it sure helps to cover the bases, its all in the setup and you gonna get one, just keep up the good work. cc :eyebrownod:
