Title: Mt Baker summit in wind driven snow
Post by: Okanagan on December 17, 2008, 07:25:15 PM
Dec. 17, before sunrise.  Not exactly a hunting pic, because I sure wouldn't want to be anywhere up on the western slope of the mountain in this weather.  No clouds in the photo at all, just wind driven snow.  Wouldn't be surprised if it was blowing 100 mph on the summit.

A few minutes later, sun closer to coming up from behind the right shoulder of the mountain.  For any climber up there it would be a blinding ground blizzard with drifting snow.

Wow, that looks awesome. I'm with you, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the top of that thing, but boy did it make some spectacular pictures.  :congrats:
