Did Not know if any of you guys up north had ever seen a Cottonmouth Moccasin, I killed this one back in September on the Wanderrosia in Georgia, these are some bad dudes, as you can see this one is about 4 foot long and I had walked down a trial about a minute earlier and was going back out the way I went in and this guy was laying across the trail, he also had a buddy with him about the same size, don't know where he was when I went down the trail, just lucky when I saw him he was laying in a clear area, if he had been laying in leaves it would have been almost impossible to see him. cc

Bad critters right there.
I hate them worse than rattlers. At least a rattler lets me know he's there most of the time. Rattler will dry bite about half the time too.
Cottonmouths are just some mean little snakes.
Yeah but how do they taste?

I have a serious aversion to any of those legless cold blooded critter's  Do they bother you often or just the once :innocentwhistle: Good part of living where I do as the only rotten scaly thing that move's up here in the winter is a crimson amphibian :argh:
Jumbo, I hit him on the head with a shovel, The Cottonmouth are bad they are aggressive, this one is the biggest I have seen, just need to keep your eys on the ground when hunting in the low country of the South.cc
Pitw, They are not out there crawling around looking for you but if you cross their path they may not run from you and their bite can be deadly. cc
