Greetings All,
At the request of a co-worker, I turned this out today.
He picked the shape, the length and the bore diameter (5/8").
He wasn't looking for nothin' fancy, just one with good sound.
This is what I came up with.

A bit longer than usual, but it's what he wanted.
That's a .223 for size reference.

I forgot to put in a nice wide lanyard groove :doh2:

Fully finished mouth piece.

And a fully finished exhaust. No step drill marks in that one!!
It's voiced in a raspy jack rabbit. It sounds pretty good. I think he will like it.
Thanks for looking.

Boy, your tools must be really sharp! You did great w/ the red oak, especially the mouthpiece! :congrats:

Hi NASA,
How you been? It's been a while!!
Well, I just got a lathe the first part of January. I'm practicing on the white oak for now.
This is my 8th turn so far.
I just did one out of Indian Rose Wood.
I'll post picture in a bit.
