Title: Computer virus
Post by: HaMeR on January 20, 2009, 08:02:59 PM
I just read this article & it got me to thinking again. I still believe the anti-virus makers are in bed with the virus makers. Seems odd they know how to fix most of them within a few short weeks of them being "released".  :wo:  And WTH aren't these people held accountable for their destruction of private/personal property. This is no different than smashing mail boxes. It is still vandalism only the stakes are higher than ever for those infected. If I ever run across somebody that is bragging about building a virus & releasing it they will wake up in the jail cell next to me!!

Sorry folks. I'm done!!

I wouldn't doubt there are a few, but I doubt they all are in cahoots.

This reminds me of some anti virus software for websites a bud got hooked up with a year or so ago. He ended up getting in a heated debate with the company on the phone and the next day his site was hacked. :laf:

He called them, bought the software again to fix the issue, boom gone. Little while later he canceled it again, and boom hacked.
It's not funny, but damnnnn. :laf:

If I had to guess what companies, if any, would be in cahoots with distributing virus's, it'd be McAfee, and Norton. You do a consumer reports on the two and there is tons of people fighting to get out from under them.

I've used The Shield® for several years, never had a lick of trouble, and they rated number one in all the reports I found.

2 days ago we get a pop up that says microsoft is updating virtual memory and the puter ran slow
and My Computer has been locking up all night, then McAffe said it was updating and when that quit the puter runs ok now.If it weren't for the $$$ spent on McAffe I would get rid of it.

QuoteThat's from looking at porn sites Bil

Yeap Jim what Bill described is a typical porn virus problem. Also Mcafee being a christian company they are not real helpful to porn addicts. :laf:

Fortunately there is a good anti virus plan for porn addicts as Jim has found called the shield. Bill you may want to check with Jim on where to go from here he has been a porn addict for years and knows all the in and outs and how to clean out his system by himself.

I've been using Trend for the last couple years & have only had one episode with viruses back in October. It hit again in November but Trend had a fix for it by then. I just think it's time somebody is held responsible for the moneys that people have to spend to get their computer running again. That's what irritates me more than anything.

Dammit Bill!! I hope Chris isn't looking over your shoulder!!  :roflmao: :roflmao:
