Greetings All,
This is the latest call off of the lathe. It's Indian Rosewood. As you can see, it has an elk anter mouthpiece voiced in jackrabbit and a cow elk mouthpiece.
A friend of mine gave me his 5x5 elk rack from last year to make calls and call parts with. When I offered to buy the rack from him, he just wanted me to make him a predator call for his son who is just getting started in coyote hunting.
Well, since both of them are an elk hunters, I thought I'd make him a combo unit.
Here she is:

There is about 8 thou taper on the antler mouthpiece and it matches the barrel very well.
It's got the shoulder on it and I don't think I'll do that again as it was very time consuming to fit properly.
I think a straight taper, with no shoulder, on the mouthpiece is the way to go.
So this is for John, in exchange for that elk rack.
As always, comments welcome.
