Kinda sorta looks like someone made a good head shot on that critter, do you parboiled before frying, I haven't eaten squirrel in a long time but I know they sure are tasty. cc

i parboil them because they come out alot more tnder,imo, if you do. then i brown them good in a skillet.

i always make squirrel gravy as well.

theres nothing like squirrel gravy over a mound of candied sweet taters,imo.

My mama used to parboil also, What's your receipt for making the gravy? Do you use an egg wash and then roll in flower before browning? The sweet tators sounds good.cc

i just take the skillet drippins and add a little seasoned flour to it.

i let it brown a nice medium brown then add however milk i need to make it the cosistency i want it.

im tellin you, there is nothin better than candid swet potatoes smothered in squirrel gravy but it aint good if your watching your waistline.

al, ill post it for ya..i know....its .good thing i aint  *sticks out tongue* :roflmao:
