Title: Credit Card phone call
Post by: Yotehntr on January 24, 2009, 09:26:19 PM
Here's a good one, I just got a phone call. The electronic voice said, your Visa is suspected stolen because of abuse. If it hasn't been stolen we'll need 3 pieces of information to reactivate. They started with Your credit card # ...... hmmm I didn't let it go to much further. Oh yeah they called on my cell phone too. Funny I've never given that to my  bank. Just thought ya'll might want to be careful.

About 16 or 17 years ago my phone would ring in my apartment. I would answer it & there would be a few seconds of silence so I would say hello a 2nd time. Kinda the way anybody would I thought. Then my phone bill came!!  :argh:   Holy shiite !!!!!!  I had phone calls to England!! At the time I didn't know anybodys phone number from the next county!! I even had to pay them. I was told that by answering the phone I was accepting charges to be made to it by a 3rd party.  So much for answering the phone when it rings.  :rolleye:

Yeah this phone crap is really gettin bad, and it pisses me off, a lot of em
are recordings so ya don't even get the chance to chew em out.
Or the ones that ya try and call back to chew out, and it tells ya something
like the number you're trying to call back doesn't exist  :doh2:  :argh:
and they start way too early in the mornin and go way too late at night.  :mad2:
Get me goin on these mothers  :argh:     :laf:

Up here our brilliant people came up with a no call registry in that if you called and said you didn't want these phone calls you registered and then if any of them phoned you, they were to be fined upto $15,000.  Now they've broke into the registry and some people are having more problems than before.  So now they not only have the phone numbers but the personal info as well.  Good thing I'm the great procrastinator :laf:.

I tell em I'm not interested in anything they have but I realize they have a job to do. Then I tell them we can either say goodbye now & hang up as friends or I can hang up on them & they can hate me forever.
