I drove to the lake yesterday to check on my RV and put a new cover on the boat. On the way there we spotted this guy:

He took off when I tried to get a little closer, but just circled and came back.

This is only about five and a half miles east of LBL. I've seen them over there a couple of times but never on this side of the lake.

Nice ! I've been trying to capture some shots of our local pair but nothing so far.
i used to live in Va and there were alot of them on beaverdam lake. wed take the kids and watch them.
i was also lucky enough to see a pair in Wyoming when i was out there.
